Review by hotel critic
I recently spent a delightful weekend at a charming little cottage nestled in a quaint village, and I have to say, it struck a perfect balance between comfort and convenience. Although it didn't offer direct sea views, a mere five-second stroll brought the rhythmic sound of waves right to my ears-so soothing at night. the cottage was exceptionally clean and dog-friendly, which was a major bonus for me. It felt well-equipped and cozy, almost like a home away from home. Basic essentials like toilet roll, soap, and even dog biscuits were thoughtfully provided, along with a solid selection of board games for those rainy evenings. While the property lacked luxurious amenities, it made up for that with character and charm. There's ample parking nearby, although it's public and paid, and the village itself boasts lovely restaurants and shops. For a quick jaunt into Whitby, a taxi ride is just £15. In all, this place represents good value; it's comfortable and practical, making it a solid choice for anyone looking to explore the Yorkshire coast. I'd certainly return for another getaway.
